Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until slightly browned on all sides.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and chicken broth. Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add the potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers. Simmer for another 5 -10 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
