  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Procedure:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until soft, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add ground chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add sayote and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sayote is tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar, and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley or cilantro and serve hot with rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice.
