- 100 grams of rock salt
- Optional: 50 grams Ajinomoto MSG
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of sugar-salt mixture
- 1 kg ground pork
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 whole garlic bulbs, minced
Instructions:
- Prepare the Sugar-Salt Mixture:
In a large bowl, mix 1 kg of sugar, 100 grams of rock salt, and optionally 50 grams of Ajinomoto MSG. Store in an airtight container. - Marinate the Pork:
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 kg of ground pork with 300 grams of the sugar-salt mixture, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 tablespoon ground black pepper, and 2 minced garlic bulbs. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated. Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors meld. - Shape the Longganisa:
After marinating, shape the mixture into longganisa pieces according to your desired size and shape. - Cook the Longganisa:
Heat cooking oil in a pan over low heat. Cook the longganisa pieces for 5 to 7 minutes or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
